Welcome AAUW-NM
Land of Action publishes a directory of grassroots progressive groups and projects from all over New Mexico. We are delighted to welcome AAUW-NM and look forward to sharing news of their efforts and activities.
Heidi's Vlog
At the urging of activists from a few NM progressive grassroots groups, we are trying a new feature here at Land of Action. Our founder, Heidi Li Feldman, will offer roughly weekly video updates on Land of Action, highlights from groups around the state who are in the Land of Action directory, and occasional commentary on issues important to progressives in New Mexico and beyond. The first edition is available now. Heidi on Free and Fair Elections NM 26, election activism from Indivisible Española and Abiquiu-Youngsville Indivisible, and the vital need for massive turnout to the New Mexico polls in the 2026 general election.
If Heidi is willing to try the vlog, you all can keep her company with a pic or two! 😉
Indivisible Española and Free Rides to the Polls on The Blue Bus

This year, voting in person is absolutely critical. Knowing this, Lauren Reichelt, leader of Indivisible Española, decided to make it easier for northern New Mexicans to get to the polls. She explained the need for easy rides to vote to the folks at North Central RTD and they have agreed to waive fares for all rides to the polls on Election Day. From Lauren:
North Central RTD will waive fees on Election Day for the four communities that use On Demand (Española, Edgewood, La Cienega (including Santa Fe Community College, and Taos). On Demand is usually a dollar a ride. NCRTD will link to NMVote.gov on their community page so people can look up their polling places.

Slowly but sure, the FFE NM26 team is adding Spanish-language materials to its Toolkit for Massive Turnout. Do visit the Toolkit page, download and print out any materials you and your group can distribute, online, in person, everywhere.
